Privacy Policy

MusicLab+ is a player for a music server you run yourself. Lab Architect does not operate a MusicLab+ account system and does not collect your listening data.

What stays on your device

• Server connection: the address and username of your music server. Your server password is stored in the iOS Keychain.
• Settings and history: your preferences, play queue, playlists you create in the app, and the listening history MusicLab+ uses to generate playlists.
• Widget data: now-playing details shared with the MusicLab+ home-screen widget.

This information is kept in the app’s storage on your device. It is not sent to Lab Architect.

Your music server

MusicLab+ connects directly to the server you configure. Requests to browse, stream, scrobble, and create or update playlists go to that server only. The one exception is the lyrics lookup described below. Playlists generated by MusicLab+ are saved on your server so other apps you use can see them. What your server records is governed by how you or your server’s operator configured it.

Lyrics

When your server has no lyrics for a song, MusicLab+ looks them up on LRCLIB, a free public lyrics database. The request contains only the song’s title, artist, album and length. It contains no account, device or listening-history information. Lyrics found this way are saved on your device so the same song is not looked up twice.

Purchases

MusicLab+ Unlock is purchased through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the payment and tells the app whether the purchase is active. Lab Architect does not receive your payment details.

What we do not do

• No analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising software is included in the app.
• No tracking across apps or websites.
• No sale or sharing of personal information.

Deleting your data

Because your data is stored on your device and your own server, deleting MusicLab+ from your device removes the app’s local data. Playlists saved to your server remain there until you delete them.

Children

MusicLab+ is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

If a future feature changes what MusicLab+ handles, this policy will be updated with a new date before that feature ships.
